Located within a 1950s modernist’s dream of a building on the edge of the sea, this apartment interior was both a design and restoration project undertaken by Albano. Resembling a 12 storey white ocean liner the original elements of the apartment were revealed in a careful manipulation of the existing spaces. With some later alterations removed, the designer added features such as a wall mounted ‘floating’ joinery unit and cleared the large outdoor balcony which has views of the park and sea beyond. A collection of Japanese, Italian and Danish furniture and objects sit side by side with pieces designed by Albano himself, such as the outdoor furniture and the woven rattan stools.
